Castle Rock Fire Fighter and Local 4116 Vice President Chris Dudley was recently out at a local store when he ran into a familiar face. Several years ago Chris responded to a medical emergency, and this familiar face was the patient; Joyce.

Joyce had experienced a major medical event and Chris was one of the emergency responders who came to her aid. Because of the efforts of Chris and all the emergency responders, Joyce made a full recovery and is alive and well today.

“Definitely an emotional event that reminded me of how much I love my job and how fragile life can be,” said Dudley. “In our current world that seems to be full of ugly things, it was such a joy to have a moment of something really special!”
