Our History

Castle Rock Professional Firefighters Local 4116 was established and recognized as a Local of the International Association of Firefighters on July 20, 2001 by 27 members of the department. Local 4116 was founded on a strong desire to have a unified voice regarding working conditions and as a vehicle to highlight issues facing the members of the department.

Since its inception, Local 4116 has striven to foster a strong relationship with Town leadership and elected officials based on trust and mutual respect.

We have celebrated many accomplishments in our nearly 20 year history and we look forward to continuing our proud tradition of community outreach, member assistance, and safety advocacy for many years to come. Today, the 90 members of Local 4116 continue to make the safety of the citizens we serve…our purpose.
