The law states that firefighters have the right to meet and confer as an employee organization with public employers to discuss policies and other matters relating to their employment, including safety and equipment, but not including compensation.
The Colorado Firefighter Safety Act also identifies collective bargaining agreements on the process and best practices to set a strong foundation for a collaborative working relationship between all stakeholders. An agreement allows your firefighters to have a seat at the table regarding their service to the community. Your Castle Rock Professional Firefighters take their commitment to our members and the community we serve to heart. We are a resource to Fire Administration and Castle Rock elected officials. An agreement allows for a relationship to be strengthened, so our members can continue to provide Castle Rock with the exceptional service they deserve.
STRIKES PROHIBITED! Yes, that’s correct; we DO NOT STRIKE! We are the voice of our members but also the voice of our citizens. We are the subject matter experts that will also deliver top-tier firefighters and paramedics to our citizens and visitors. Per Senate Bill 25, “a firefighter or employee organization shall not strike.”
